Perhaps, if my expectations had been different I wouldn’t have felt so disoriented, but again we must learn to not hold God hostage to the way we believe things will be. Besides, a comma is simply a promise that there is more to come. Which leads to my final point.

We all have plans and we often expect life to go according to those plans but what I have learned and am still learning is that we cannot hold God and life hostage to our expectations. When God says “Wait”, or even when He says no, the very best thing we can do is ask Him for the grace to agree.
We all experience seasons of waiting. Whether that is waiting to grow up and go off to college, the birth of a child, a promotion, a new car, to purchase your first home. It may even be as simple as waiting on a bus or train. The fact is waiting is an inevitable part of life so we must learn to wait well.
